The Reassurance Program is open to all members of our community who are elderly, disabled, or have other reasons which make living alone a worry for their family and friends. In this program each member has a scheduled time that they call in to our Communications Center each morning so a Telecommunicator can give them a friendly "good morning!" and ask how they are doing. If for some reason we do not receive a call from them, Communications staff will attempt to make contact by phone. If contact is still not successful then a Patrol Officer will be sent to perform a welfare check.
This program ensures that more vulnerable members of our community are checked on and have contact with someone each day. To be added to this program please call the Brevard Police Department by dialing (828) 883-2212 or by following the link to our online application by clicking here.
