Responsibilities
The Community Center Department oversees the programming, maintenance, safety, and usage of three community centers throughout the city of Brevard. It also coordinates various programs and special events for the Community. The City of Brevard Community Centers follow the same closing schedule as other City of Brevard offices.
 
Reservations: 
Reserve space by calling Community Center Director Tyree Griffin directly at (828) 376-9303 or by emailing Tyree.griffin@cityofbrevard.com. You cannot book reservations on The City of Brevard website.
 
 
Depot Railroad Avenue Park
The Depot Railroad Avenue Park is located at 390 Railroad Avenue and has a large public parking area allowing easy access to the Estatoe Trail system.  The Depot Park includes a 13-foot whimsical Ballerina sculpture and a native plant garden featuring over 30 different species of native plants and shrubs.  The Depot building includes public restrooms and indoor/outdoor multi-use areas that can be reserved by the public for events.  Please see the Depot Railroad Avenue Park facilities page to see the Use Policy & Rental Agreement for Current Fee Schedule.

French Broad Community Center
This facility is available for civic groups and organizations on a first come, first served basis.

Mary C. Jenkins Community & Cultural Center
The Mary C. Jenkins Community & Cultural Center is a multi-cultural, multi-generational community space. This multipurpose facility is available for activities and functions that are in keeping with the organization’s mission of promoting a healthy, livable community with opportunities for physical activity as well as educational, personal, and cultural enrichment. Members of the community can gather for group activities, social support, public information, and special events.
 
The Mary C. Jenkins Community & Cultural Center serves as a place for
· Historical records and presentations/classes
· Community social activities
· The advancement of community and individual health and wellness
· The promotion of arts, crafts, and educational classes
 
The facility is available for rent by citizens and visitors as well as by non-profit civic, professional, social, recreational, and community-oriented clubs and organizations in the City of Brevard and Transylvania County, provided that the membership thereof is not restricted on the grounds of race, color, religion, or national origin. Rooms may not be used for activities that may disturb other MCJCCC functions, for activities that are partisan in nature, for any unlawful purposes, or for strictly commercial purposes. Nonprofits may charge registration fees or collect donations for the costs covering the event if approval has been acquired in advance. The MCJCCC Rental Agreement is available on the Mary C.
