Transylvania County 2014 Business Plan Competition
For the fifth consecutive year, the Transylvania Partnership will sponsor a business plan competition for Transylvania County residents who are planning to start or expand a business in Transylvania County (including the City of Brevard and Town of Rosman).
There will be a single cash prize of $10,000, with up to 25% awarded immediately and the balance awarded later, contingent upon successful plan implementation.
The business plan competition deadline is January 31, 2014, and the winner will be announced in early March. For more information, including the application and evaluation form, visit the Transylvania County Planning and Economic Development Department website.

Brevard's water quality consumer confidence report is now available for download. As part of the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Environmental Protection Agency requires all public water providers to deliver water quality and safety information to all customers on an annual basis in a single report that provides water quality data to the public in an understandable manner.
Announcing the Terrell L. Scruggs Scholarship Fund
Brevard City Council has established the Terrell L. ("Terry") Scholarship fund. This scholarship is established to honor Terry, a committed public servant and strong proponent of higher education. The scholarship fund offers scholarship funds to senior students from each of the three, Transylvania County high schools. Click here
